Dracaena sanderiana 'Gold', often referred to as Lucky Bamboo, is a popular indoor plant known for its slender, upright stems and striking green leaves with gold or yellow margins. Despite its common name, it’s not actually bamboo but belongs to the Dracaena family. The leaves are long, narrow, and arch gracefully from the central stalks, with the yellow edging providing a subtle contrast against the glossy green. This plant is often grown in water-filled containers but can also thrive in soil, making it a versatile choice for indoor cultivation. Its compact size and attractive foliage make it ideal for desks, shelves, or as part of a small indoor arrangement.

Dracaena sanderiana 'Gold' is incredibly hardy, capable of tolerating a range of conditions, from low light to periods of neglect. Its easy-care nature, combined with its aesthetic appeal, makes it a favourite in homes and offices alike.

Native to
Dracaena sanderiana is native to the tropical rainforests of Central Africa, where it grows in the shaded understorey. In its natural habitat, it thrives in humid, low-light environments, which makes it well-suited for indoor growing under similar conditions.

Water
When grown in water, change the water every couple of weeks to prevent stagnation, and ensure the roots are submerged but not the entire stalk. If grown in soil, water it when the top few centimetres of the soil have dried out. The plant is sensitive to fluoride and other chemicals in tap water, so it’s best to use filtered or distilled water where possible.

Light
Dracaena sanderiana 'Gold' prefers bright, indirect light but can also adapt to lower light conditions, which makes it perfect for rooms with limited natural light. However, too much direct sunlight can cause leaf burn or fading of the yellow margins.

Humidity
This plant thrives in average to moderately high humidity, ideally between 40% and 60%.

Temperature
Dracaena sanderiana 'Gold' prefers temperatures between 18°C and 26°C, which align well with most indoor conditions. It does not tolerate temperatures below 15°C, so avoid placing it near cold drafts or in unheated rooms during the winter. Keep it away from radiators or air conditioning units to prevent temperature fluctuations.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
