The Gravity: Analog Soil Moisture Sensor (SEN0114) provides a simple and cost-effective way to detect soil moisture levels using resistive sensing technology. With a 0–4.2V analog output, this reliable soil moisture sensor is ideal for indoor plant monitoring, educational electronics, and smart home IoT projects involving an Arduino soil moisture setup.

How It Works

This soil moisture sensor measures the resistance between two probes inserted into the soil. The more water present, the lower the resistance. This analog signal is perfect for any Arduino soil moisture or Raspberry Pi sensor application to determine soil moisture content.

Note: This soil moisture sensor is designed for short-term use. For extended or high-humidity environments, consider using the Analog Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor – Corrosion Resistant for better long-term performance.
